I attended the clear aligner course (module 4). I was deciding between orthoed and a few other companies. The reason I chose orthoed is simply because Geoff and Martin are registered orthodontists, as opposed to other courses which are run by general dentists. The sheer amount of cases and experience that Geoff and Martin have is unparalleled. I can't see any reason not to make use of that knowledge. Their presentation covers critical foundational knowledge and all the information makes logical sense. If you are looking for a course which actually tells you the WHY behind aligners, tooth movements, attachments, treatment strategies etc. this is the one to do. Even if you don't go full into aligners, this will give great insight into how pre prosthetic orthodontics or occlusion in general affects restorative treatment planning. Without having even yet done an aligner case, I feel more confident in understanding dentistry as a whole. They also give insight into business and patient management which is honestly quite contemporary and invaluable. If you are trying to decide between clear aligner courses, just ask yourself: would you prefer to learn from a specialist orthodontist or a general dentist? Martin and Geoff are both fantastic presenters and if your brain can handle all the information and knowledge they cram in, you will have a great time

Best course for dentists who want to learn orthodontics

Geoff, Robyn and the OrthoED team are amazing! The course delivers great understanding of biomechanics in Ortho and provides sound principles on how orthodontics work. Geoff also emphasises important key message throughout lecture using key symbols which I think really helpful and effective in reading the notes.What I really love about this course is they will email pre-course reading materials and post-course reading materials. The lecture notes also will be emailed about 3-4days prior the lecture so you can have some light reading prior. I have been to many other cpd courses, I would say OrthoEd is one of the most organised course from pre to post course. (In fact they are the best so far for me). ❤️❤️
