What You Will Learn...

2-Day Didactic Program (Days 1 & 2):

Build confidence with deep understanding

This comprehensive two-day course offers an in-depth exploration of skeletal anchorage in  orthodontics, guiding participants from foundational principles to advanced clinical  applications. The program focuses on temporary anchorage devices (TADs), including both  mini-implants and mini-plates, and highlights their biomechanical advantages and  integration into modern orthodontic treatment.

Participants will gain a solid understanding of TAD insertion techniques and the clinical  decision-making behind various insertion sites. The course also emphasizes contemporary  treatment workflows, detailing the transition from analog to fully digital planning and  CAD/CAM-supported appliance design.

  • Key insertion sites & biomechanics
  • Digital workflows: planning, CAD/CAM integration
  • Upper Arch: Distalisation, Class III correction, RME, molar intrusion, impacted teeth
  • Lower Arch: TAD vs mini-plate, direct & indirect anchorage
  • Aligner integration, surgical prep, prosthetic anchorage
  • Troubleshoot real clinical cases and overcome common TAD pitfalls

Lectures will cover a wide range of clinical indications in both the maxilla and mandible,  including molar distalization and mesialization, vertical control through molar intrusion,  management of impacted teeth, rapid maxillary expansion (RME), Class III correction, and  pre-surgical as well as pre-prosthodontic treatment strategies. Special attention will be given  to the synergistic use of clear aligners and skeletal anchorage in complex cases.

By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the theoretical knowledge to  implement skeletal anchorage techniques effectively and understand their role in expanding  the limits of orthodontic treatment.

Optional Day 3: Hands-On Lab Master real-world placement with guided practice - Sold Out

** Must have attended the 2 day Didactic program
(Limited to 25 Clinicians)

  • Interradicular & crestal placement techniques
  • Freehand vs guided insertion
  • Beneslider system: Bending, installation & mechanics
  • Mini-Mousetraps & cantilever techniques
  • Walk away ready to implement immediately in your practice

By the end of the course, attendees will have gained hands-on experience with the most relevant  clinical tools and protocols, empowering them to immediately integrate skeletal anchorage  confidently into their daily practice.

Experience a Practical Journey through Skeletal Anchorage in Orthodontics.

This course offers an immersive, practice-oriented exploration of skeletal anchorage in orthodontics,  with a strong focus on the clinical application of theoretical knowledge.

Designed for orthodontic professionals eager to enhance their skills, the program centers on  temporary anchorage devices (TADs)—particularly mini-implants—and their effective use in modern  treatment protocols.

Participants will work extensively with a variety of Mini-Implants and learn key insertion techniques  through guided hands-on modules, covering both palatal and mandibular applications. In addition to  placement protocols, practical exercises include the construction and adjustment of mini-implant supported mechanics for sagittal tooth-movements, intrusion, and the vertical control of impacted  teeth and tipped molars
