TX Planning Session – 30th September 2020
Welcome to this week's Treatment planning webinar A very interesting case of a 13 year old female who presents in the permanent dentition with a Class 2 buccal relationship on her right side and a mild Class 3 occlusion on her left side. She also has significant protrusion of her upper and lower anterior teeth, with minimal overbite and moderate crowding in her upper arch. She also exhibited a mild posterior crossbite on her RHS and dental crossbites involving her 12 22 and 23. She was previously treated as a first phase of therapy with an upper Schwartz appliance followed by a Sagittal appliance. This case presents lots of nuances, and deciding whether to perform further expansion or extractions were discussed in detail – and if extractions were required what type of extraction approach would be beneficial for this patient and why. As always I be very interested to know how you would treatment plan this patient if they presented to your practice, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts. I hope that you find this webinar to be enjoyable and thought-provoking and as always I value your feedback, comments, questions and hope that you can provide us with cases to discuss in the future.
