Weekly Question and Answer session. Oct 23, 2019

Welcome to another excellent Q&A webinar- which I hope you enjoy as there were excellent pearls in this session.

The first patient was a female planning to get married in approximately six months, and she was most concerned about a lingually inclined 35, but also exhibited a deep overbite and minimal overjet - and discussion revolved around whether this case could be treated with purely lower fixed appliances or even could we consider aligner therapy.

The second patient was a female Asian adult with significant crowding in her upper and lower anterior region, with exceptionally protrusive incisors ,minimal overbite and missing her 46 . She has significant risk factors with regards to the conventional placement of fixed appliances and a lengthy discussion involved the treatment plan, the extraction approach and the sequencing of treatment and mechanics to minimise risk.

There were numerous pearls in this webinar and I hope that you enjoy it and it helps to take you once again to another level in your orthodontic education and knowledge.

As always I value your input, and please feel free to ask me any questions, make any comments and provide cases for future webinars. Please feel free to email these to me geoff@orthoed.com.au

I hope that you find these webinars to be of high educational value and look forward to seeing you at one of our regular weekly Q&A webinars which are held each Wednesday morning 7 AM AEST
